Varun Kasturia is seen as Ansh in Rupali Ganguly starrer Anupamaa. He has opened up about the USP of a television actor.

Rupali Ganguly starrer Anupamaa is one of the top TV shows. It has been getting all the love ever since it began. Varun Kasturia, who is currently seen as Ansh in Rajan Shahi’s Anupamaa, believes that the biggest USP of a TV actor is their ability to live a character over time and make the audience feel like they know them personally.

“In television, it’s not just about performance—it’s about presence. You become a part of people’s daily lives, their routines, and their emotions. That kind of sustained connection demands a quiet intensity and truthfulness in the craft,” he said.

He further mentioned that it’s not about just playing a role, adding, “It’s about becoming someone people trust, root for, and sometimes even see themselves in. That’s a rare kind of storytelling power.”

He feels that earlier TV was a stable medium as compared to other platforms. He said, “It gave actors consistent work and a loyal audience. But in today’s time, even that’s changing. Many shows wrap up within just 3 months, which brings a different kind of uncertainty. So while OTT and films are seen as dicey because of their experimental nature, TV isn’t as stable as it used to be either.”

“At the end of the day, no platform is fully ‘safe.’ As actors, we have to stay adaptable, keep evolving, and be ready to give our best wherever the opportunity comes,” Varun ended. This is a big story in entertainment news and TV news.

Currently, Anupamaa has taken a leap. Anu’s new journey has started in Mumbai. She lives alone and makes tiffin for people. On the other hand, Rahi has become the new Anupamaa of Kothari family. She has lost herself and is only doing all the household chores. Mahi goes to office with Prem.

In the Shah house, Ansh has taken up the responsibility. He is the main earning member of the family. Prarthana also stays with them as a paying guest.
